the boys of OPPO They have been in Mexico for three years and to celebrate they have launched their new OPPO Find N2 Flip folding smartphone in the country.
The FayerWayer team was lucky enough to be invited to this event, where we were able to get to know the new smartphone directly to test it for a long time in different scenarios.
Thanks to this, we have a very clear idea of the device’s value proposition and the main distinguishing factors that would position it as one of the most attractive alternatives on the market in its peculiar segment.
The direct competition for the OPPO Find N2 Flip it is clear and in the past we had already talked here about the differences and critical points of advantage or disadvantage for each model of this curious generation.
In the official presentation for Mexican territory it was the turn to confirm and reaffirm some points.
OPPO celebrates three years in Mexico and celebrates them with the launch of the striking Find N2 Flip
OPPO celebrated its third anniversary in Mexico with a very interesting event where it presented us with a retrospective of its career. Under the solid foundation of the Find X Series and welcoming its current present with the Find N.
This line of smartphones with a folding screen represents the most attractive bet for the high-end segment in the country and at the presentation we had the opportunity to discover a bit of the history that led them to the Find N2 Flip.
We got to know the different previous prototypes, with different form factors and architectures in their folding mechanism. To get to the current jewel in the crown, a device with brutal technical specifications for its segment:

There is an important noticeable leap between the previous generation model and the current one as a clear reflection of the company’s commitment, where Mexico is one of its priority markets, as a spearhead for its positioning strategy in Latin America.
During the presentation, Eduardo Morones, CEO of OPPO Mexicorevealed that the company has already managed to position itself in the country with a market share of 14% and they are betting on more, implementing a specific strategy for this market.
In an exclusive interview with FayerWayer, the CEO shared some details about the company’s strategy for Latin America:
“Mexico is a very large market, after Brazil it is the second most important in Latin America, in terms of users. So the decision was made to create this anchor in Mexico and replicate it from there.
That’s where the second came in level with Chile and Colombia. We did it differently than other companies in the past. Step by step we are consolidating Mexico well and the intention is to consolidate ourselves in Chile and Colombia as well.”
In fact, during the presentation we discovered that the OPPO Find N2 Flip will be the official smartphone of the Champions League and much of the official content generated during the tournament will be with this device that has a Sony IMX890 sensor.
On a technical level, the device is much lighter than its brother with another form factor, the Find N, and its hinge mechanism has been perfected, allowing it to be fully closed when folded, preventing dust and elements from leaking that could shorten its useful life.
In fact the device could, in theory, go through 400 thousand bending cycles in its useful life. This gives us as a result that the OPPO Find N2 Flip could stay functional from its hinge system for decades even if we open and close it an average of 100 times a day.
The battery is 4,300 mAh, the largest in any vertical folding phone today, which guarantees a full day of autonomy. Additionally, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is compatible with 44W SUPERVOOC fast charging that charges 50% of the battery in 23 minutes.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip will be available for pre-sale at Telcel during the first days of April 2023 in the colors Astral Black and Cosmic Lilac with a price of MXN$24,999 in Mexico.
