There is still a little more than two months to go before the celebration of E3 2022, but the rumor season has already begun to reveal some of the announcements that we would see at the events. One of those ads would be a Doctor Strange game developed by Remedy Entertainment, creators of Alan Wake and Control. It would be presented at E3 2022 with a teaser trailer.
At least, that’s what Mouth Culture, a Twitter account dedicated to sharing such rumors and leaks, suggests, though it hasn’t proven to be the most reliable source in the industry. “It is rumored that Remedy Entertainment is developing a AAA game (Doctor Strange) for the current generation. An official announcement and preview planned for the E3 conference this summer.”

Leaving aside the fact that the cover of the Doctor Strange game for PS5 is really badly done, a detail that this rumor does not quite clarify is which E3 2022 conference would this Remedy game be shown at, because to this day, the Finnish team has not organized anything like it. If true, it would most likely come out at some manufacturer conference, like Microsoft, or some kind of general event, like the Summer Game Festwhich takes place shortly before E3.
At the moment it is a simple rumor, we will have to wait for the celebration of E3 2022 in June to see if it comes true. The truth is that it would be more than curious to see Remedy adapt Control’s combat system to make a Doctor Strange game. It would already be the third Marvel superhero to have a game in development, alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine, both from Insomniac Games.
