Microsoft updates its offering for Xbox Game Pass on a regular basis, with new additions spread out throughout any given month. The new Xbox Game Pass games added today, August 23, should be especially interesting for subscribers.
The latest Xbox Game Pass update adds a new release of the Day oneand also makes a console exclusive game PlayStation available to play through PC Game Pass.
As of today, August 23, subscribers to Xbox GamePass they will be able to enjoy Midnight Fight Express on all platforms and Death Stranding through PC Game Pass. Midnight Fight Express is the new release of Day one.
It is an action-focused brawler made for the most part by a single developer. Reviews for Midnight Fight Express have been mostly positive so far, but Game Pass subscribers can draw their own conclusions about the game without paying more than its monthly fee.
Death Stranding, meanwhile, is a console exclusive. PlayStation whose jump to PC GamePass has caused quite a stir. Death Stranding was originally published by Sony when it was first released in 2019, with Sony also taking on much of the game’s marketing effort and helping fund its development at Kojima Productions.
Considering the financial investment Sony made in Death Stranding, many have been surprised that it’s coming to Game Pass, even though it’s only available on the PC version of the service and not on Xbox consoles.
Although Death Stranding was originally published by Sony as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, the game ended up making its way to other platforms. Death Stranding was ported to PC, and the game made its way to PS4’s replacement, the PlayStation 5.
It seems unlikely that the game will come to Xbox consoles in the near future, but those with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription will be able to play Death Stranding on PC.
