The vivo Y33s smartphone It has been created to offer a photographic experience above the ordinary within the lower-middle range, the family in which this phone will be included according to its characteristics.
And it is that the new device of the brand, despite looking like a cheap terminal, has a main camera of 50 megapixels within a configuration with triple rear camera, thus providing the right device for consumers to capture their memories with the Best Quality. Relying on AI, we are facing a competent photographic section, as it happens with its camera but not so much with other specifications of the data sheet of the telephone.
Screen – Performance – Camera – Battery
Phone Features
The smartphone comes as a commitment to simplicity but with a series of pluses that will make those who need a basic mobile fall in love but with some extra as an incentive. Here stands out, for example, the presence of Android 11 with the signature FunTouchOS 11.1 layer, an elegant design and a weight of 182 grams, quite restrained for the overall dimensions of the equipment.
Screen
The Vivo mobile It has a 1080p Ful HD + display. It is a multi-touch panel with LCD technology that leaves us with a pixel density per inch that exceeds 400, which is not bad at all. The higher dpi, the better quality than what we see on the display.
Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, we have a 20: 9 format for good content consumption despite the fact that the front camera is located in a notch shaped like a drop of water, something outdated for 2021.
Performance
This mobile from the Chinese firm works with a Mediatek processor, specifically a Helio G80 manufactured from 12nm with an 8-core structure divided into two ARM Cortex A75 at 2 GHz, and six ARM Cortex A55 at 1.8 GHz. its ARM Mali G52 MCM GPU and the 8GB of RAM present inside the phone, the alive Y33s ensures that all applications run smoothly, and images are processed quickly.
And with 128GB of storage, you’ll never be short of space to store important memories. Of course, there is also the possibility of using the expandable storage through microSD cards, of making contactless payments through NFC technology and the great novelty of the brand for this year: the Extended RAM 2.0 function, which allows the device to use its 8GB of Built-in RAM, and ‘borrowing’ an additional 4GB of memory from its 128GB of storage, to provide smoother multitasking and agile switching between applications.
Camera
As we have already said, the photographic section is the highlight of the phone and here the protagonist is left with a 50 MP main sensor that allows you to take great photographs with high quality, both day and night, and record videos in 4K at 30 fps. This configuration also includes a super macro camera, to offer greater clarity when capturing images up close and a 2 MP sensor that helps complement the information of these two lenses.
Once again, Vivo has ensured that the performance matches the company’s “Perfect Shot” concept. It is an AI-assisted function that always allows you to get the best shot depending on the shooting conditions.
It is applied in night mode (with both the front and rear cameras), portrait, photo, video, panorama, live photo, slow motion, accelerated, professional, or 50 MP captures.
Regarding the front camera, located in the notch of the screen, we have a 16 MP sensor with f / 2.0 that can also record video in 1080p and take advantage of the aforementioned AI technology so that our selfies look their best quality possible.
Battery
Here the Vivo phone offers three advantages: an 18W fast charge with vivo Fast Charge technology, which allows the battery to be recharged quickly, even with a large capacity 5000 mAh battery, while the vivo Energy Guardian system offers a balance between performance and efficiency to facilitate optimal energy management.
The good and bad
Positive points
There are two great strengths in the phone. On the one hand we have that triple rear camera capable of recording in 4K that with a 50 MP sensor offers a higher quality in the capture of all kinds of scenarios, as long as we do not compare it with smartphones that double the price of this vivo Y33s.
It should also be noted, of course, its huge 5,000 mAh battery that we can also charge in just over 3 hours thanks to its fast charging tools.
It should be noted that, in addition to having 8 GB of RAM, it is one of the first smartphones of the Chinese firm to launch virtual RAM tools, which can give us a “boost” of power when we need it most.
Bad points
The presence of the Helio G80 is not that it is bad but it is not the best processor that we are going to find in this type of mobile that is around 200 euros. We hope that the tool just mentioned will make the phone not suffer too much in performance tests.
FunTouch OS is not the best customization layer of all that we have in the market, we appreciate that it is based on android 11 but it is less intuitive and has more Bloatware than some of its competitors.
What is the price?
The vivo Y33s can be purchased in stores in Spain from October 6, at a recommended retail price of € 249. It is sold in black and blue.
