A Community Manager job offer showcases your knowledge of this position.
The job of a CM is to become the direct contact between a customer and a brand.
63 percent of them spend up to 30 hours a week monitoring communities.
The job offer for Community Managers has been on the rise because it has become a fundamental position for companies. And it is that, over the years, social networks have diversified. Every moment they require new digital strategies for which it is necessary to have an expert in network management and communication.
The job of the CMs is to connect with the audiences and reach an ever-widening audience. For him Digital Business Academy portal, this work sometimes extends to represent direct contact with the client. This with the intention of being able to carry out a total analysis with respect to the community that has been generated around the brand.
The CM and their work in the digital world
CMs have become the face of brands and, as noted above, direct contact with them. In other words, they have ceased to be considered “managers” of networks and have become digital strategists of engagement and positioning. Social Fresh share that the 63 percent of Community Managers spend up to 30 hours a week monitoring communities. On the other hand, about 23 percent say they spend 41 to 50 hours in this job.
It is through this study that we know that the channel most used by brands to generate content is Facebook. This social network takes 55 percent of the preference. Twitter remains in second place, with 22 percent effectiveness. Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn showed a lower percentage because they have different strategies such as contact with influencers.
This also adds to what was said by the study of Le Blog du Modérateur and RegionsJob. It ensures that Facebook, since 2020, has occupied 40 percent of the performance of campaigns through CM networks. At the same time, the traffic obtained by Instagram accounted for 33 percent.
They display an offer for a 24-hour Community Manager and… without pay?
Through his Twitter account, the user known as YorchBesos shared a job offer found on the Indeed portal. In it, a position for a Community Manager is described, although with certain irregularities.
With the legend “And these are the companies that complain because ‘you don’t want to work’ @BoltMediaMX“, the content creator exhibited said offer, which points out aspects such as:
- Availability of 24/7 hours and who knows how to work under stress
- High english level
- First week of training NOT PAID
- There is an entry time but not an exact exit time
- No Social Security
- No Benefits
This was the offer shared by the user YorchBesos:

And it is that, although it is not clear how much money is really paid to the workers after this first week of training, the truth is that almost all the requirements seem completely negative and, some, directly illegal. In Mexico, the working day cannot be extended beyond 48 hours, however, the offers that require 24/7 availability require that this schedule be covered in two full days. However, this does not happen in almost any case. This, in a certain sense, shows how many companies lack to understand the value of a Community Manager in the industry.
