The new Mercedes EQE 2022 is uncovered, weeks after its debut
The EQE will offer a large interior space, despite the fact that the dimensions are more contained, with very short overhangs. In front, the headlights show a very slim and elongated design, with an LED on the top flange for daytime running light. The German firm keeps the grill design hidden, as well as the new tail light spiral signature, which extends in one piece on the boot lid.
Inside, the new EQE also inherits the dashboard design from its older brother, with the sophisticated option of the “Hyperscreen MBUX” or the more sporty “AMG Line” trim, so there will be no major aesthetic differences beyond the fact that this model is a four-door saloon. But where there will be is in the technical section, because although it shares the special EVA 2.0 platform for electric cars, the new EQE will become one of the zero-emission saloons with greater maximum autonomy.
The German firm will offer different versions, in the same vein as the older brother. The first versions to arrive will be those of the EQE 300, EQE 350+ and EQE 400+ with a single rear electric motor and with a lithium-ion battery between the axles, with capacities of 72 and 90 kWh, so autonomy will amount to 650 kilometers. Options with two electric motors and 4MATIC all-wheel drive will arrive in 2022, starting with the EQE 450 and the sporty AMG EQE 53.
