The new Mercedes EQE is once again seen in a new preview of the star brand. This time, the electric saloon reveals its rear, showing its attractive rear light clusters. One more teaser that brings the new electric saloon closer and closer, which will go on sale in 2022 with more than 600 kilometers of autonomy.
There are three great novelties that Mercedes will present at the 2021 IAA Munich Motor Show, the three more than interesting and important, since they will join the EQS ending 2021 with no less than six electric models. The new electric saloon was seen a few hours ago, along with the AMG EQS and Mercedes-Maybach EQS in a teaser, reappearing again, showing that the brand’s goal on the EQE to become one of the category leaders. On this occasion, the rear of the four-door saloon is seen, with the new pilots exposed, being the first time that this detail has been so clearly seen.
The Mercedes EQE will hit European roads in January 2022
Slightly different from those of the older brother, they present a slimmer design as you get closer to the light bar that serves as a link between the pilots, showing the light signature in a helical shape only at the ends. The new Mercedes EQE has bet on the concept of traditional sedan, with three volumes and four doors, instead of a four-door hatchback saloon like the EQS, which will not prevent offering a modern, elegant and sophisticated design, as well as sporty in the units retouched by AMG.
Inside, it will have the typical dashboard of Mercedes models, with a large horizontal screen, but as an option, the brand has already confirmed that it will have the “Hyperscreen MBUX” technological dashboard, occupying a smaller surface compared to the 1.4 meters long of the EQS. A very interesting gadget that will allow you to stand out from your rivals, as is the active rear axle steering, available with the two known modes, 4.5º and 10º, a function that can be activated from wireless updates.
The EQE will be launched on the market in late 2021, reaching the first units to European dealers throughout the month of January 2022. The brand will offer different versions, with a single engine and rear wheel drive and two engines with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, associated with a battery with capacities of 72 and 90 kWh, with a maximum autonomy of between 520 and 650 kilometers. In addition, it will have an on-board charger with a power of 11 kW, and twice as an option, reducing the charging time to just under 30 minutes up to 80%.
