20th Century Studios released a new trailer for “Avatar: The Way of Water” (“Avatar 2”) on its official YouTube channels.
The sneak peek comes just weeks from the December 14-16 release date of the highly anticipated sequel to the highest-grossing film in movie history.
The second installment in the franchise sees the return of Stephen Lang’s villain, Colonel Quaritch.
Set more than a decade after the original film, which took place in the year 2154, the trailer released this Wednesday, November 2, shows glimpses of Jake and Neytiri bonding as a family.
“The story is about family, about our families trying to stay together and the lengths we all go to to protect each other and protect the place where we live,” he told her. The producer also talked about inclusion. For example in “Avatar: The Way of Water”the protagonists are refugees looking for a safe harbor with people who do not look like them and live differently.
