“This relocation of companies due to nearshoring brings with it greater investment in infrastructure, new opportunities for logistics and even commercial needs that must be taken advantage of by Ecommerce,” he said in an investigation.
The specialists highlight that there are major changes that will trigger the growth of E-commerce anchored in the process relocation phenomenon.
As an example, in B2B E-commerce, there are studies detailing that one of the main impulses in Mexico will be Nearshoring, since the high demand for supplies, supplies and daily use items will result in the search for new channels to expedite sales. buying and selling processes.
In this sense, the consulting firm Gartner calculates that, by 2025, 80 percent of business-to-business (B2B) commerce will be carried out through digital means. Therefore, B2B e-commerce is expected to grow at an even faster rate than its retail counterpart.
“The arrival of new companies and industrial plants will also facilitate the entry into the local market of innovative products that previously took some time to reach Mexico or Latin America. This will be very evident in items such as household appliances, the textile industry, electronic equipment and automobiles”, he explains.
The investigation details that the relocation of foreign companies opens a panorama of infrastructure for transport and logistics in general, not only with the need for new communication channels, but also companies that provide these services.
“It is possible that the need for new air routes and the programming of a greater number of flights with the United States will be added,” they add.
