The existence of life on other planets is an idea and question that has occupied the scientific community for years, one that could well begin to be clarified after a new report published by the National Aeronautics and Space Administrationbetter known as POT (for its acronym in English), in which it refers to the presence of unidentified anomalous phenomena (FANI). ¿They could be a danger to the Earth?
According to the document issued by said American organization, the existence of such phenomena is confirmed, and not only that but it is also made clear that they do represent a threat for him air space of the United States.
Given this situation, and given the constant statements by pilots and soldiers about the prevalence of unidentified objectsthe POT has communicated that it will carry out an exhaustive analysis of this in order to give it the seriousness that the issue of FANIremoving the sensationalism that has surrounded them for a long time, so through the creation of a specialized department the pertinent research will be carried out to study them from a purely scientific point of view.
Bill Nelson, administrator of the space agency American, said during the official presentation of the report that there is a global fascination with unidentified aerial phenomenaand that one of the biggest questions that the scientific community frequently asks has to do with these types of sightings, a fascination that is linked to their unknown nature.
He also explained that the FANI that have been detected so far by the POT have not provided sufficient data to determine its origin, at the same time limiting its research and scientific conclusions. However, he clarified that studies continue to be carried out to learn more and more about the nature of said phenomena and emphasized that the studies carried out by the agency have not found proof or evidence that confirms that such sightings They are of extraterrestrial origin.
Another point commented by Nelson during the presentation of the report was that given the limited information available so far on the unidentified anomalous phenomenanew data acquisition methods and advanced analysis techniques will be designed and applied, all not only to collect more data that can clarify the FANI but also to reduce the stigma around reporting and provide reliable results.
NASA will have director of ovins
Within the same report, the POT has made public its decision to make an appointment of the next research director of unidentified anomalous phenomena. This person will be in charge of developing and supervising the implementation of scientific methods and techniques of the space agency to carry out the study of the FANIin addition to working together with other US government agencies, also using technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
For now, the name or identity of the scientist who will serve as director of this new research department has not been revealed, so it is expected that this information will be released in the coming weeks.
A total of 16 scientists, experts in data, artificial intelligence and aerospace security, participated in the preparation of the report presented today, a team led by David Spergel, president of the Simons Foundation and founder of the Flatiron Institute for Computational Astrophysics.
