It really could be the best fan-art you’ll see today…
We know that Masashi Kishimoto took inspiration from ancient Japanese folklore to create the world of Naruto (and its subsequent sequel), only the design of Kurama, the 9-tailed fox, is one of his most representative examples. This has led to more artists wanting take this one step further and show your heroes in other environments, facing our protagonist and Sasuke, his eternal friend and rival in the middle of ancient japan.
The themes of the fight are depicted with an emphasis on the myth of two antagonistic forces in the ukiyo-e style artwork. of Chien Chih Kang found on Twitter. The left side of the portrait shows Naruto leaping at Sasuke with a Rasengan in hand, while Kurama looms over him with fangs bared in the background. Sasuke is almost a mirror image of Naruto; except he holds a Chidori in his hand as his perfect Susanoo looms to counter Kurama. This representation of the giant chakra samurai is interesting in its design. Susanoo’s mask is similar to how it is drawn in the manga, but this time it is drawn to more accurately represent a tengu, a type of yokai bird in Japanese myth. Certainly, this fan art demonstrates the clear inspiration of Masashi Kishimoto in local folklore.

As cool as this Naruto fanart is, there are two differences from the manga that are worth noting. and that give it its own personality. First of all, Sasuke’s Susanoo is blue instead of purple, but this is probably because purple is not a commonly used color in classical ukiyo-e style and thus the artist took the creative freedom in the representation of Sasuke’s jutsu. The second is the positioning of Naruto and Sasuke.
In their matchups throughout the manga, Naruto is always on the right and Sasuke on the left, a creative choice made so that their signature jutsus can align with each other. This also subtly hinted at the twist that Naruto and Sasuke were actually reincarnated brothers. As we see throughout history. None of these take on the quality of the artwork, far from it. These creative differences actually enhance the art as they give an overall sense of the style of the piece.
This artist is recognized for always managing to give a unique touch to his illustrations, Kang is a truly remarkable artist, as can be seen with his many mythical redesigns for Dragon Ball characters such as Majin Buu or Frieza. Even with some slight variations, this mythical redesign of the final fight of Naruto and Sasuke is amazing and perfectly captures the emotion of the moment and the meaning it has within the story.
The epic fight between Sasuke and Naruto
Sasuke vs. Naruto is one of the most epic fights in the entire manga., and concludes the series of 700 chapters, which made it one of the most anticipated by the public. Before its making, it was probably the most anticipated fight, as the matchup between the two was teased ever since they first fought in Final Valley at the end of Part 1. The new fanart shows that excitement and anticipation again, this Once done in the ukiyo-e Art Style, which redesigns Naruto and Sasuke to have a mythical look.
Naruto and Sasuke’s final fight was the climax of the series and was the pinnacle of everything the two had learned from the beginning. They threw everything they had at each other, from literal ninja tools like shuriken and kunai, to exchanging blows in their monstrous chakra states. The fight is also very symbolic, as Naruto and Sasuke’s attacks symbolize their character arcs. Even some of Naruto’s harshest critics admit that the fight is a major highlight of the series and a fitting farewell to one of the most popular shonen series ever created… at least, until Boruto: Naruto Next Generation arrived, which continued the saga.
