Logitech has introduced the MX Keys Mini, a more compact version of its popular keyboard that maintains the versatility and performance of its older brother, but takes up less space on your table.
Logitech MX Keys It is one of the most popular professional keyboards of the Swiss brand that, for a couple of generations now, has been taking a privileged place at the tables of professionals and users of Mac computers.
Comfort of use with your concave keys, good connectivity and a very neat design are some of the hallmarks of the MX Keys range, which grows with the incorporation of a compact version with the arrival of the MX Keys Mini.
MX Keys Mini is a keyboard that maintains the same philosophy as the full model, but dispenses with a numeric keypad that not all users need and that allows them to recover precious space on their table.
Compact design, but just as solid and neat
The main incentive of the new addition to the MX Keys family is to offer the same functions already found in the full MX Keys, with a much more compact size.
The MX Keys Mini has a “60% keyboard” layout in which the main part of the keyboard and the arrow keys are kept, eliminating the numeric keypad and navigation keys.
The overall design remains intact, with its characteristic concave keys for improved touch that hide a scissor mechanism It provides a firm, well-defined touch that helps improve typing speed and precision.
The new Logitech keyboard maintains the same solid design with an aluminum chassis finished in Light Gray and White, Graphite and Black and Pink, as well as “Universal” compatibility options for Windows and Mac or an exclusive version for Mac in which some exclusive keys for MacOS, iPadOS and iOS are integrated.
Fewer keys, but with improvements for teleworking
With teleworking or remote study, video calls have been integrated into the usual workflow. MX Keys Mini meets this new need by integrating specific keys that improve control of the webcam and the microphone.
These new keys share space with the Function keys (F1 to F12) on the top line of the keyboard, allowing mute the microphone of the computer or turn off the camera from the keyboard itself.
The lighting control via proximity sensor of the keys that allows to vary the intensity automatically depending on the ambient lighting, managing to turn it off completely when the keyboard is not used and activate it again just by bringing the hands to the keys.
It also allows you to use the voice detection system of the equipment to enable the dictation function from keyboard, so that voice-to-text transcription can be enabled with the press of a key.
It also has a specific key to display the emojis keyboard, which little by little has been making a hole as a support tool in written communication.
Agile connectivity and battery life
One of the Logitech MX Keys series keys is the versatility it offers by allowing you to connect to different computers and switch between them with the press of a key.
This agility is maintained in the new compact version, allowing you to connect to three Windows or Mac computers via Bluetooth and switch between them without further configuration.
The MX Keys Mini comes equipped with a USB Type-C connector from which it is charged and has an autonomy of use of up to 10 days with the backlight on and up to five months without it.
The Logitech Flow compatibility, the system that allows you to combine the keyboard with a mouse from the MX Master series to move files between computers by simply dragging them and without the need to use complicated connection systems.
Logitech’s new keyboard will hit stores with a launch price of 109 euros, both for the “Universal” version for Windows and Mac, as well as the exclusive version for Mac.
