Come celebrate this Day of the Dead and be part of the big dinner dance that will take place this October 28 o’clock at 20 o’clock.
Everything has changed in the family traditions and I miss when we all got together to put the altar of the dead That night, always on October 28, the appointment was at the grandmother’s house in San Ángel, a charming neighborhood in Mexico City. We all arrived with something for the altar and what we liked the most: the dishes for those who left us and the same for us, the living.
Yes we will celebrate big!
Today everything seems to be a nice dream. A memory that makes me feel nostalgic, but I appreciate that restaurants with tradition and love for ours as Hacienda de los Morales, gather us around the eternal love we have for those who left and, with a magical halo of joy as we Mexicans are, that night we are happy and eager to share unforgettable moments with family.
a magical night
I am excited to tell you that I have already made my reservation for the Day of the Dead Dinner Dance. It is a new concept and I intend to live it with enthusiasm and happiness, always thinking of those souls that return these days, but… this time to dance with us!
A folkloric ballet, Mexican music and a live DJ will give us the rhythms tonight for our cheerful zapateado.
In Santa Maria Atzompa, Oaxaca, for example, there is the traditional Calenda of the Day of the Dead, in which the mezcal, the music, the catrinas and devils dance and stomp Oaxacan sounds for much of the night for many years. Thus, throughout Mexico they have their traditions in the music and hubbub It is a fundamental part of the Night of the Dead.
Thanks to Hacienda de los Morales, we will be able to revive these traditions that should never be lost. As a family, without sadness, full of emotions.
Do not miss this special night full of color, flavor and mysticism.
Delicacies for the brightest
Inside of Welcome Festival, We will enjoy mini Oaxacan tamales, sopes with beef, golden chicken taquitos, oil gorditas with pressed pork rinds and cheese quesadillas with epazote.
The menu includes four courses with dishes that remind us of the milpa and the fields of Puebla and Michoacán, but with a refined Mexican touch that they know how to execute so well in the kitchens of the Hacienda of the Morales.
- For starters, sea bass ceviche with guava, red onion, cilantro and avocado; We will continue with a pumpkin cream with ginger.
- For the main course we will have to choose between salmon on a bed of skittes bathed with house mole and mignotte of beef fillet with poblano sauce accompanied by huitlacoche and refried beans. A true delight.
- And for desserts, those that are served alternately and you can try the one next to each other, they have the pumpkin flower flan and goat cheese ice cream and the other, cheesecake with guava and quince paste (reminds me of the canteens the ones I went with my dad).
The menu honors many products and dishes that we have in our DNA. It isn’t true?
