According to various users and reviewed by some technological media, the File Explorer interface saw advertising content, but it cannot be ruled out that it also appears on other pages.
Experts assure that this scenario does not anticipate a hypothetical final result, but it is important that the ads are not detected by users in the stable version of Windows 11, but in the version of Windows Insider.
There are many applications and platforms that carry out experimental tests on a daily basis, such as the technology company Microsoft that has started including ads in Windows 11, part of the experience that has left browser users unhappy.

In addition, the statistics platform indicates that a similar behavior was also manifested by its profit figure, which amounted to 44.2 billion dollars; 13% more than in 2019.
Other data shared by Statista indicates that contrary to what has happened with other operating systems, Windows has seen its market share progressively decline between 2010 and 2020, although it has continued to lead the market. In this way, in that last year, 76.84 percent of the world’s computers were governed by a Windows operating system, a value that represents a decrease of around one percentage point compared to 2019.

This experimental test upset Internet users and users of this platform, where many complained in posts on social networks.
“You better stop this nonsense right now. If they’re looking to get people to ditch File Explorer for something else, they’ll get it.”, says one of the tweets with direct mention of the Windows Insider account.
While another points out that “come on Microsoft, File Explorer is one of the worst places to show ads. Especially with the vintage look it has today.”
“Very disappointed in this decision. It’s a disaster. They destroy all the efforts they make with Windows 11 with this type of bad publicity ”, another user added in a comment.
Faced with this user discontent, Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc shared a statement stating that the banner in question was an experiment that should not be published externally.
They also claim that it was a mistake that some members of the Windows Insider Program may see them in the latest build (22572) on the Dev Channel.
