There was no need to update your LinkedIn or create a Bumeran profile. Unemployment did not last long for Sam Altman, who was fired as CEO of the company he founded, OpenAI. Now, the businessman will work with Microsoft in an artificial intelligence research department, according to Satya Nadella himself, executive director of the company founded by Bill Gates.
“We are very excited to share the news that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, along with their colleagues, will join Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team. We hope to act quickly to provide them with the resources necessary for their success,” Nadella said in a post on his X account.
Likewise, he expresses that he continues to trust in the work they do at OpenAI, with whom they are collaborating in the development of new technologies related to artificial intelligence.
“We remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and are confident in our product roadmap, our ability to continue to innovate with everything we announced in Microsoft Ignite, and to continue supporting our customers and partners. We look forward to meeting Emmett Shear and the new OAI leadership team and working with them,” he added in his social media post.

“The mission continues,” Sam Altman responded to the Microsoft CEO’s post.
Dismissal of Sam Altman
“Altman’s departure follows a deliberative review process by the board, which concluded that he was not consistently truthful in his communications with the board, which hindered his ability to exercise his responsibilities. The board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI,” the company said in a statement announcing the removal of its CEO and co-founder.
Sam Altman spoke on his X account supporting the decision of his board of directors: “We have more unity, commitment and focus than ever. We are all going to work together in one way or another and I am very excited. One team, one mission,” said the businessman.
