Overall, Microsoft reported revenue up 20% to $51.7 billion with net income up 21% to $18.8 billion. The More Personal Computing division, which includes revenue from Windows OEMs, search and news advertising, the Surface product line, as well as Xbox, posted a 15% increase in revenue to $17.5 billion. Microsoft gaming revenue was up 8%, while Xbox content and services revenue was up 10% year-over-year, an improvement over the 2% growth and 4% declines recorded in the previous two quarters. .
Microsoft attributed the increase in Xbox content revenue to growth in own sales and Game Pass subscriptions. In addition to adding that Microsoft Cloud had a record quarter with $22 billion in revenue, a growth of 32% compared to the same quarter last year.
