BioWare fans recently learned that DA4’s official title is Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, but that came with the revelation that it would be some time before fans knew more. Fans are eagerly awaiting the next title, but many want BioWare to take as long as it takes to get it right. After Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition great expectations have been created.
However, it doesn’t look like the upcoming title will be the only Dragon Age content fans will see. bioware Y Netflix have announced that a new animated series called Dragon Age: Absolution will premiere this year. Along with the trailer, some details have been confirmed, but many fans are also teasing out how it approaches the lore.
Dragon Age: Absolution takes place in Tevinter, much like Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. However, it is not known when it takes place. Some believe from the art style that it may be an older version of Tevinter, or at least somewhat removed from the upcoming games. At the same time, it has to be post-Dragon Age: Inquisition or around the same time, as there are Red Templars involved.
The main character is an elf with facial tattoos, although these tattoos look more like a city elf than the Vallaslin of the Dalish. It is said that the series will focus on new characters and the lore of Dragon Age related to the elves, the magicians, the knights, the Qunari, the red templars, the demons, etc. Interestingly, it seems that there is even a female Qunari in the Dragon Age series.
The length of the series, as well as its exact release date and schedule, are up in the air, but for fans who want more Dragon Age content in their lives, this could help fill that gap until Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
