The data company Web3, Space and Time, has announced that developers can now deploy their data warehouse directly from the Azure Marketplace, Microsoft’s online store that offers services and applications for use on Azure.
In an announcement sent to Cointelegraph, Space and Time said that developers will have an accelerated onramp to access, analyze and manage native blockchain data. This allows developers to quickly incorporate large volumes of enterprise data into smart contracts and new use cases for blockchain indexed data.
Thanks to this integration, companies will be able to access decentralized data without having to rebuild their current infrastructure. This will allow companies to build on the blockchain without compromising security and computing power, according to the announcement.
The CEO of Space and Time, Nate Holiday, He commented that verifiable data through blockchain networks, companies and artificial intelligence (AI) is very important. The executive explained:
“We provide companies with the ability to integrate blockchain data into their applications and business processes, which is critical for both customer growth and enabling responsible data stewards.”
Kathleen Mitford, Microsoft Azure executive, said this new breakthrough equips developers with the tools needed to create the next generation of use cases for blockchain technology. “At Microsoft, we are powering growth in all emerging markets, including blockchain and distributed data,” Mitford added.
Microsoft is one of the many backers of the Web3 data company. On September 22, 2022, Microsoft’s M12 fund joined Space and Time’s strategic funding round along with other investors such as Avalanche, Polygon, and HashKey, among others.
In other news, Microsoft has been developing AI chips to reduce OpenAI development costs and internal projects, according to various sources. This recently revealed initiative appears to be an effort to reduce the company’s reliance on Nvidia graphics processing units.
