Confusion took over everyone who has been covering the source of technology for years. The people of Goal made an announcement in which they reported that photos can now be shared HDthrough its courier service, the Facebook Messenger. What's strange about this? In 2017 they had revealed that 4K images could be transferred through the platform.
The colleagues of The Verge They somewhat clarified the issue, since they contacted Meta to explain the real reason for the announcement and this is what they said about Facebook Messenger.
Liz Sweeney, a representative of Facebook Messenger's communications team, sent an email to the aforementioned media in which they said: “4K shared photos (specifically, 4096 x 4096 pixels per inch) were previously more compressed, and their appearance depended on the network conditions of both the sender and the receiver. Now they will not be as compressed and users will have a new 'HD' button that will allow 4K sharing. And if you don't touch the button, the photos will be shared in 2K,” they explained.
Another of the recent important announcements is that now users who use the messaging service will be able to share up to a capacity of 100 MB, a fairly considerable increase if we take into account the 25 MB from before.
Additionally, this new capability comes hand in hand with a new feature that will allow users to share entire Facebook albums through Messenger. In fact, the function is so practical that you can create the album while you share.
You select the photos one by one and the same app will give you the option to send them individually or in groups creating a new album. Facebook Messenger continues to be a great alternative for those who maintain the habit of chatting on this pioneering social network.
