In the seventies, the C 111 was a legendary car from the brand focused on innovating the automotive industry. Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven is the next chapter of this experimental car. But this time, the technology that we will see both outside and inside will be crucial for the brand. Because this car features all-new virtual experience technology as well as a revolutionary electric motor. Meet him here!

The goal of Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven
The iconic C 111, a model that was used to test Wankel and turbodiesel engines, was used as the main inspiration for Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven. This was due to its forward-looking approach to propulsion as well as its iconic gull-wing doors that immediately set it apart from the competition.
You will be able to see that this new car is a clear homage to the C 111. However, issues such as the grill that has been replaced by an LED screen as well as its flattened aesthetics respond to issues of aerodynamics and propulsion. Of course, it is clear that its beautiful design aims to surprise the industry with just a glance.
Inside we observe the type concept lounge that has already been present in other concept cars of the brand. It clearly reflects a focus on autonomous driving, a technology that the brand of the star believes will be the future of the industry.
The cabin is therefore minimalist and elegant, with a touch screen Focused towards the driver for maximum comfort. Of course, the material used in the seats is 100% recycled polyester, in conjunction with the sustainable goals of the star’s signature. Like the exterior, everything responds to being a car that looks like a moving work of art.
augmented virtual reality
Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven uses a 3D display that gives the driver considerable freedom regarding the information displayed. Of course, you can display crucial information like speed and power consumption on the screen. However, it can also be used to display full-resolution digital artwork. Namely, it’s an advancement to the leading infotainment system, the MBUX Hyperscreen.
Designers and engineers have also created an augmented reality experience inside. The pilot can use a headset of VR to enrich your experience with digital content in high definition. In this way, the driver has unique and intuitive access to all vehicle functions. Map elements, real-time driver alerts, traffic information; it’s all an integrated experience for a more relaxed drive.
An electric motor never seen before
The other big highlight of the Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven is its new battery concept. It uses a high performance liquid to cool the cylindrical cells of the battery. Using the knowledge of the AMG department of Mercedes-Benz and the British company YASA, they have created a new type of electric motor called “axial-flux”.
Contrary to traditional motors, the electromagnetic flux runs parallel to the motor’s rotary axis. This allows it to be much more efficient as well as deliver even greater power than expected from an electric drive. As if that were not enough, the axial-flux motor significantly reduces weight and dimensions, occupying only a third of the space of a traditional electric motor. Therefore, we can expect these engines to eventually make their way to future production models from the star firm.
