- CryptoPunk #5822
Bought by Deepak Thapliyal, CEO of Chain, for $23.7 million. It is the most expensive CryptoPunk that has been sold to date.
I reach this exorbitant amount because he is one of the rarest CryptoPunks in the collection. There are only 9 CryptoPunks with similar characteristics within the collection consisting of 10,000 images.
4.Human one
Human One is one of the most interesting NFTs out there. It was created by Mike Winkelmann, better known as Beeple, an American digital artist.
The work represents an infinite movie of a 3D astronaut exploring different scenarios. The most interesting thing is that this work is constantly updated by Beeple, which remotely accesses and changes the source code of the work.
It was purchased at a Christies auction in November 2021, for a total of $28.9 million.
- Clock
Personally, it is the NFT that I like the most. It was created by PAK, a digital artist, with the aim of raising funds for the defense of Julian Assange.
The NFT is a clock that marks the time Assange has been in prison. The money raised with this work is sent to different organizations that seek the freedom of the controversial character.
It was sold for $52.7 million in February 2022 to AssangeDAO.
- The First 5000 Days
The second place on the list corresponds to another work by Beeple. Although strictly speaking it is about 5,000 images that the artist created working every day for 13 years.
It was bought by MetaKovan, founder and CEO of Metapurse, for $69.3 million.
- The Merge
The most expensive NFT in history is a work by Pak, an unknown artist. This particular NFT was tokenized, that is, it was divided into multiple sections and was acquired by 28,983 investors who bought 295,417 parts of this work.
The sale of this NFT managed to raise 91.1 million dollars in 48 hours.

One of the questions that we all ask ourselves with these stratospheric sales is whether these digital works are worth what they cost and if their price will increase over time. What do you think? How much would you dare to pay for an NFT? Do you think it is a good investment?
Next week I will tell you what my opinion is on these and other questions that arise from the NFT world.
Do you have any comments about this text? May I help you? Write me. It will be a pleasure to talk with you.
