The tournament, titled “0xMonaco: Battle of Titans”, It will bring together Web 3.0 developers from companies like Uniswap, Ledger, Polygon, Chainlink and Near. According to the team, it will be broadcast live and will feature commentators from the esports industry.
On-chain games for developers take a unique approach, focusing on strategy games where players use smart contracts to code their strategies. 0xMonaco and future games of its kind will require great technical skills, creativity and quick adaptability to win. MatchBoxDAO promised to create an enjoyable experience for developers and entertain viewers, through video simulations that depict the actual logic of the code during each round.
MatchBox Arena plans to organize closed tournaments for the best Web 3.0 teams and open challenges in which everyone can participate. Players can enter the arena, upload their strategy in code, and participate in rounds with other players. Additionally, players and viewers will be able to track their favorite team’s progress on a leaderboard and watch video replays of matches.
The Web 3.0 ecosystem continues to influence and evolve the gaming industry, and now developers are looking beyond the “play-to-earn” and they focus more on the gaming experience of their platforms.
On Jan. 7, Cointelegraph reported that artificial intelligence could also influence Web 3.0-based games. OpenAI could allow developers to create better artwork, more challenging encounters, and a superior narrative, leading to a richer and more immersive experience for players.
