Finally, a series that seemed doomed to disappear after three seasons, ends after six seasons, here we explain the end of Lucifer.
At the end of the fifth season, we learned that Lucifer was the one chosen to occupy the throne of the kingdom of heaven. However, becoming the new God is not the culmination of Morningstar’s (Tom Ellis) journey. Before the end of the series, there are still some adventures ahead, and here we explain the end of Lucifer to you. But beware …Spoiler alert …
Now yes, we explain the end of Lucifer
At the beginning of the sixth season we find great changes: Lucifer is preparing / postponing his coronation as God although he is not entirely sure that it is what he expects, Chloe (Lauren German) has left his job in the police, Mazikeen (Lesley- Ann Brandt) and Eve (Inbar Lavi) are in the middle of their wedding preparations, Amenadiel (DB Woodside) has joined the Los Angeles Police Department, Dan (Kevin Alejandro) is in Hell and Ella (Aimee Garcia ) suspects that something is wrong with the universe.
Soon the mysterious Rory (Brianna Hildebrand) appears, seeking to destroy her father, Lucifer. It turns out that she is the daughter of Chloe and the former king of the underworld, who comes from the future to avenge her father’s abandonment. Knowing the cause and avoiding that future absence will be the mystery that must be solved in the series.
So while Lucifer and Chloe advocate and prevent that announced disappearance from happening, the lack of God has caused the apocalypse to begin. Despite the intervention of the other angels, the early stages of the end of the universe advance. To avoid this, Amenadiel assumes the role of the Almighty.
Meanwhile, Lucifer has managed to prevent his disappearance on the appointed date, but must deal with Vincent Le Mec (Rob Benedict), who has kidnapped Rory to make Lucifer suffer as he has suffered since Dan’s murder. Lucifer explains that the suffering he feels is his own fault. Rory is released, Dan’s soul ascends to heaven, which is the same fate Le Mec asks for himself before being consumed by darkness.
Lucifer and Chloe’s Final Fate
After the incident with Le Mec, Lucifer realizes that his purpose is to help the souls of hell find peace so that they too can go to heaven. That will be the reason why Chloe gets pregnant and Rory’s life is lost. Amenadiel becomes God and Lucifer returns to hell forever.
In a single scene, as Lucifer plays the piano we see that, in heaven, Amenadiel is God, Ella and Carol Corbett have a foundation, Chloe is back with the LAPD. Also in heaven, Dan is with Charlotte Richards. We see Linda and Amenadiel celebrating Charlie’s birthday when he shows off his wings, Maze and Eva chasing a criminal, and Chloe giving birth and returning home with baby Rory.
Finally, we see the end of Chloe, elderly and on her deathbed. In the afterlife, Amenadiel asks her if she is ready to go home, to which she agrees and goes to hell. There, Lucifer has become a soul therapist from Hell, when Chloe arrives to help him and stop eternity with him.
