Through their social networks, Louis Vuitton unveiled what could be the most impressive advertising campaign for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, as it brings together the two most important football figures of the last 15 years.
The Argentine Lionel Messi and the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, together in a graphic ad, hours before the start of the FIFA Cup, a true jewel of the luxury brand’s advertising strategy.
“Victory is a state of mind. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi captured by Annie Leibovitz for Louis Vuitton. La Maison celebrates two of today’s most talented soccer players”, says the text published on the networks by Louis Vuitton along with the image of the photograph taken by the prestigious artist.
In the image, both players are extremely concentrated playing a game of chess on a case from the famous French luxury brand.
“Victory is in the mind. A long artisan tradition building trunks photographed by @annieleibovitz for @louisvuitton”, is the text that the two players published on their respective Instagram profiles.

The decision that the photograph was taken by Annie Leibovitz is not accidental.
The American is recognized worldwide for her work for publications such as Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and Vogue.
One of his most remembered photos is the one he took of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1980.
He also took famous photos of Michael Jackson, Demi Moore, George W. Bush, and Queen Elizabeth II.
Barack Obama and Leonardo DiCaprio are also on the list of political and movie characters who were in front of Leibovitz’s goal.
An hour after the publication of the photograph in the accounts of Lionel Messi’s Instagram and Cristiano Ronaldo, had already added millions of likes.
