YouTuber Logan Paul built his career on controversy, first through his YouTube channel and more recently through his boxing career. There always seems to be some kind of controversial happening with Logan, and now is no different, as a lingering controversy continues to unfold stemming from Paul’s biggest fight, his fight with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
Logan says he is still owed money from the fight. Mayweather, and now he’s willing to say how much. Well last week, Paul He took part in Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant podcast, during which he discussed his threats to sue Floyd Mayweather for what he believes he is owed for his 2021 exhibition match.
Paul has alleged that Mayweather He owes him a significant amount, something Mayweather has seemed to acknowledge in the past by saying he “is slow to pay boxers after fights.”
Although Paul has not yet decided whether to sue Mayweather or not, the truth is that he is willing to intensify the war of words. Logan Paul first calls Mayweather a “drunk idiot” and then mocks the boxer for an old rumor that he can’t read.
“Floyd never paid me for our fight. Who am I, Treasury? You can’t dodge taxes like punchesPaul continued. Needless to say, Paul remains unhappy with the situation, but it’s not clear what the next step is. Paul then gave a figure of what he thinks Mayweather owes him, something he hadn’t shared before.
According to Logan, Mayweather owes him nearly $5 million. An exact figure is not provided, but neither is an explanation as to why Mayweather owes him so much money. If it were simply an agreed figure, it would probably be a simple legal case. If he was tied to PPV buys or more complicated totals, that could explain why the two are at an impasse.
Mayweather has previously said that Paul wants a rematch. Given that the fight sold over a million pay-per-view buys, it wouldn’t be surprising if they both wanted a rematch. For the time being, however, Paul’s focus in the public eye is to make it clear that he believes Mayweather owes him millions of dollars, and that he is going to continue to insult the legendary boxer until he gets what he wants.
