The former US president had disqualified the billionaire at a Republican Party event.
Elon Musk said that he would like the governor of Florida to be a candidate for president of that country.
Last month, the CEO of Tesla said that he had not decided who he would support in the upcoming election.
Elon Musk’s name has been in the public eye this week, thanks to Twitter’s lawsuit against the tech tycoon for failing to buy the social network. But the richest man in the world too has been linked to controversies with former President Donald Trump, after he disqualified the billionaire at a Republican Party event, to the point that the LinkedIn founder intervened.
The discussions between these two public figures has reached another level, where now a prominent business tycoon Silicon Valley is backing the CEO of Tesla, in his recent Twitter feud with Donald Trump, calling the latter a “spoiled rich kid who bankrupts everything he touches.”
It all started after the social network officially sued Elon Musk in the United States courts on July 12 for not having fulfilled the contract to acquire the company for 44 billion dollars which he had announced at the beginning of May.
Reid Hoffman, the billionaire founder of Linkedin, slammed the former president after Trump called Musk a “dumb artist” for trying to get out of his deal to acquire the social media platform.
“I am not surprised to see Trump’s attacks on @elonmusk. Elon is a classic immigrant story: an entrepreneur with a real track record of success,” Hoffman tweeted Wednesday.
Likewise, “he started the EV revolution with Tesla, he resurrected the US rocket industry with SpaceX, fought climate change and promotes American innovation.”

Likewise, Hoffman called the former president a “big scammer” He added: “Personally, I support the people who are working to build a better future for America and the world. Trump is a loser so stuck in the past that he would rather spread lies, incite insurrection and damage American democracy than admit he lost a fair election.”
Over the weekend formed the diatribe betweene Trump and Musk for their change of course in the purchase talks with Twitter during a rally in Alaska. To which Musk responded to Trump’s criticism on Monday night, saying the former president is “too old” to run for president in 2024.
