One of the most legendary consoles of all time is the Atari VCS that was released on the US market in 1977, 45 years ago, which is said soon. It was not until 1982 that its name was changed to Atari 2600, which was the same year that the legendary Pitfall!which means that 40 years have passed since then.
Aware of these important dates, it seems that Atari and LEGO have teamed up to launch a set of LEGO Atari 2600, which will leave us with a pack of this console that will be made up entirely of LEGO pieces. At least that is what the German portal Promobricks has communicated, which has leaked all this information along with the following video.
As we can see, it wouldn’t be the first time something like this has happened, because a couple of years ago a set was also put up for sale that recreated the NES with LEGO pieces. I would even follow the same example and the pack would be accompanied by a television like the one from the 80s with a replica of Pitfall!which would have a crank to turn it and thus make it show us one of the levels of the adventure on the screen.
If all this comes true, given that confirmation from LEGO is missing, the LEGO Atari 2600 set It would arrive in August 2022 with a price of 169.99 euros. At first it could only be purchased through the official LEGO store, while the rest of the stores in the world would receive it in January 2023.
