The exclusive special edition of the Lamborghini Countach has just been presented. Only a week ago it was unveiled and all the units that the Italian manufacturer will produce of the modernized supercar have already been sold out, despite its prohibitive price. The 112 owners are already looking forward to committed deliveries through 2022.
The Lamborghini Aventador is one of the star supercars of the Italian firm that has remained on the market without succumbing to supercharging with a powerful V12 engine. At the end of its commercial life and with a confirmed replacement that will arrive in two years, the Sant ‘Agata firm has brightened up the long wait with the world premiere of the modern Lamborghini Countach.
A special and very exclusive edition, which has been specially developed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Lamborghini model, and which made its first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in 1971. No less than five decades in tow, but for which time seems to have passed or made a dent in its design, since it maintains the iconic style complemented by the latest technologysuch as the advanced LEDs for the front and rear light clusters.
The modern Lamborghini Countach, sold out in a week
Only one button of a model whose entrails are of the latest generation, conceived taking advantage of the technical basis of the Lamborghini Sián and, therefore, also that of the Aventador. The carbon fiber bodywork reveals the special design of the Countach, but underneath everything is completely different. So much so that the technical approach to propulsion has been transformed into a hybrid.
The Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, as it is really called, combines the powerful engine 6.5-liter gasoline V12 with an electric motor It is powered by electricity from capacitors, instead of batteries. Thus, the model has a total maximum power of 814 hp, extracted from the 780 CV of the propeller and 34 CV of the condensers. A luxury that will reach 112 units that already have an assigned owner and that will receive their units throughout the first quarter of 2022.
This is what sources from “Top Gear” point out, whose information comes directly from the Italian factory, pointing out that the 112 units have been sold out in just one week, and taking into account that it is not cheap: its price is 2 million euros, without taxes. A quarter of a million more than the Centennial presented in 2016, although of this only 20 units were manufactured.
