Since the release of Death Stranding in the year 2019 there has been a lot of constant rumors about what Hideo Kojima’s new game could be. A second part of the title headed by Norman Reedus or a new Silent Hill were the most repeated bets, and now it seems that we can begin to clear up some doubts. And it is that the TryHardGuides medium, through the journalist Tom Henderson, publish that Kojima would be working on a horror game starring Margaret Qually and what would I have as a code name right now overdoseOverdose in Spanish.
Henderson comments that they have sent him a piece of footage of this new game by the Japanese genius and that it shows the character played by Qualley dressed in blue and walking down a dark hallway Lantern in hand. The view is in third person, but it is ensured that the title would also be playable in the first person. The video ends with a jump scare and with the words “Game Over”, followed by the mythical phrase “A Hideo Kojima Game”. Despite the appearance of Margaret Qualley, Henderson assures that it is not a second part of Death Stranding, but something completely new.
Hideo Kojima assures that his study will remain independent
Given the proximity of events of the magnitude of the Summer Game Fest Hosted by Geoff Keighley or the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022, the rumors are evident: will Overdose (or whatever it ends up being called) be officially presented in the coming days? Only Hideo Kojima has the answer, who seems willing to once again surprise locals and strangers with a new work that will once again feature a Hollywood actress at the head of its cast. Will there be more familiar names? Will it have something to do with Silent Hill or Death Stranding? Looks like we’ll soon find out.
