Don’t Miss: The Definitive Collection of Marvel Graphic Novels
Before giving us two memorable films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Joss Whedon managed to enter the House of Ideas on the right foot, bringing the adventures of Ashtonishing X-Men,
The Return of Colossus
After being the catalyst for the Legacy virus, which apparently cost him his life, Colossus returns in Ashtonishing X-Men issue # 4 to defend Kitty Pride from imminent death, surprising Shadowcat.
Colossus’ return was completed to the delight of fans when Piotr Nikolaievitch teamed up with Wolverine in the famous Fastball special, an attack that hadn’t been seen in years.
Cyclops out of control
Each member of the X-Men shone in their own way during Whedon’s title run, and the first big moment was Cyclops defending the X Mansion.
Scott Summers manages to get rid of a Wolverine that begins to annoy him, giving a small but important sample of his pomder.
Wolverine and Armor
Although his nature is not to be that of a mentor, Logan has become the teacher of Kitty Oride and Jubilee, as well as another mutant named Hisako Ichiki, for whom he begins to feel more than appreciation.
Hisako Ichiki even shows his appreciation for Wolverine on the surface of Breakworld, where she calls herself Armor.
Kitty Pride and her aggressive character
Talking about the bravery of Kitty Pride is one of the hallmarks that Joss Whedon exploited since the Gifted arc, by giving one of the youngest of the X-Men the strength to assume leadership roles.
Undoubtedly the most memorable moment of Kitty Pride in Joss Whedon’s career is the sacrifice he makes for humanity by preventing Asteroid M from hitting the earth, although it did take him to sacrifice himself.
Xavier keeps hiding things from his students
Although Charles Xavier continues to be shown as the great guide of the X-Men, it is inevitable that the leader of the X-Men continues to keep secrets from his students, even if they turn into time bombs.
In Dangerous, Xavier did not reveal that the Danger Room can become self-conscious, but instead of freeing her, he held her captive in the Mansion, which would cost one of his students his life.
Don’t hesitate any longer and get Astonishing X-Men: Dangerous. The twenty-eighth volume of The Definitive Collection of Marvel Graphic Novels.
