This Thursday, June 2, a Sony State of Play was broadcast in which the company showed some previews of games made by its external partners, among which were The Callisto Protocoldeveloped by Striking Distance Studios and published by KRAFTON, Inc., with a release date scheduled for December 2 of this year.
The Callisto Protocol is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC later this year, and through a statement the developers of Striking Distance Studios confirmed that the game will star Josh Duhamel as Jacob Lee, a cargo ship pilot trapped in Black Iron Prison; Y Karen Fukuharaknown for being one of the leads in The Boys, who plays a fellow prisoner in the game.

The Callisto Protocol is a sci-fi survival horror game made by Dead Space creator Glen Schofield. The Callisto Protocol combines the brutal combat of Dead Space with a deeply human story in a terrifying world, set on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto in the year 2320. In The Callisto Protocol, players must escape from the Black Iron prison of maximum security, using game mechanics that combine shooting and close combat to survive the mysterious outbreak that plunged Callisto into chaos.
According to Striking Distance Studios, they created a unique design process called “Horror Engineering” or “Horror Engineering”, which mixes elements of brutality, atmosphere, tension, humanity and hopelessness to offer unforgettable scares.
Striking Distance Studios promises that players’ hearts will race as they survive the horrors that await them at Callisto and Black Iron Prison, and they can’t wait to share what they’ve done with the rest of the world later this year.
