Hazelight Studios has revealed that It Takes Two passed an incredible sales milestone, as the game has exceeded 5 million copies sold. The news was announced via the company’s official twitter account, in which the team claimed to be “absolutely amazed” thinking about the number of people who have found fun in the game. Mind you, the studio didn’t offer any specific information about the breakdown of those sales between the PC and console versions of It Takes Two.
That’s right, It Takes Two passed an incredible sales milestone which for a new IP is quite a feat. For those who are not familiar with the game, It Takes Two debuted in March 2021and it’s a cooperative game like no other, according to The Game Awards which gave it the game of the year award.

The game centers on Cody and May, a couple who have decided to get a divorce. After revealing the decision to their daughter Rose, Cody and May find themselves trapped inside a pair of their daughter’s dolls. In order to return to their normal bodies, the pair must work together, while listening to the advice of their therapist, Dr. Hakim. It is the latest game from director Josef Fareswho has already worked on Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, and A Way Out.
