A site specializing in cinema made a list of the best sequels in Hollywood history, and the highest ranked Marvel sequel was Blade II, which surpassed Spider-Man 2
The popular saying goes that second parts were never good, but in cinematographic matters Marvel has broken with that unwritten law with good sequels, but the one that is considered the best of all time in The House of Ideas is Blade II, a film directed by Guillermo del Toro.

The Vulture site published a list of 101 films, which are considered the best sequels in history, and this list is headed by Mad Max: Fury Road, followed by The Goodfather II.
While the best placed Marvel sequel on this list is Blade II, a film released in 2002, starring Wesley Snipes and directed by Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. Blade II occupies the seventh position on this list, and is the highest ranked Marvel film.
Blade was imposed on this list to Spider-Man 2, from 2004, directed by Sam Raimi, a filmmaker who will return in May 2022 with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, by Marvel Studios.
The second film of the wall-crawler, with Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Alfred Molina in the main roles, ranks 13th on the Vulture list.
Blade also beat Logan and Avengers
Another of the Marvel movies that are placed on this list, within step 45, is Logan (2017), the film that puts an end to Hugh Jackman’s path as Wolverine, a character he has played since 2000.
And the last Marvel movie to hold a place on this list is Avengers, the feature film that closes phase one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Joss Whedon-directed film came in at number 87, closing out Marvel’s run on the 101 Greatest Vulture Sequels.
Del Toro, who recalled Blade II two decades after its premiere, does not hide his fascination with superhero movies and the catalog of characters that Marvel Comics has.
“I loved the first Blade and thought it could add a layer of savagery. She had an interest in superhero movies when she wasn’t being persecuted by big business. I like to do things that go against what is being done.”
