Ion Hazzikostas breaks hopes of seeing World Of Warcraft on Xbox
Is it a good idea that World of Warcraft comes to Xbox?
When specifically asked about an Xbox version, Ion Hazzikostas detailed the following (translated): “No, I think World of Warcraft is a game designed from the ground up for PC. I think we’ve just been looking at the ways that add-ons sometimes feel more and more necessary, or like the first thing you do when someone comes to the game for the first time is tell them, ‘Hey, go download this add-on pack and move these things’ and we want to make it better for our players”.
With this paragraph, all the rumors and dreams of finally seeing World of Warcraft on Xbox have been buried, when it seemed that it could be in the near future. There is only hope if, once Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard is over, Phil Spencer can make this happen, since various developers have said that the game is perfectly playable on consoles.
