Merca2.0 – In 2022 they received, for the second consecutive year, the Global Top Employer certification, what does it consist of and how have they managed to position themselves?
Augusto Muench – The recognition granted by the Top Employers Institute evaluates areas such as work environment, learning, well-being, diversity and inclusion, leadership and sustainability, among others.
It is an honor for us to be recognized again as a company that has a culture of care towards our people, because that is where our mission of providing health begins, especially in these two years of pandemic. This gives us certainty that in the most complicated and uncertain moments we knew how to be a humane, conscious company that supports its collaborators in the best way.
This year we were also recognized within the PAR Ranking, an initiative that measures the conditions of gender equity and diversity in companies in Latin America, placing us in the Top 10 in Mexico.
These two awards fill us with pride because they show that we know how to reward those who make the company’s great achievements possible.
Merca2.0 – In practical terms, how do you experience all these commitments with your collaborators on a daily basis?
AM – At Boehringer Ingelheim we have realized that achieving the purpose of the company is not enough, because for it to have a real impact, it must coincide with the purposes of each one of our collaborators.
That is why we have recently launched ‘Our Purpose: Transforming Lives for Generations’, seeking that each of the people who work at Boehringer Ingelheim find their own mission and the way in which it relates to that of the company. Thus, among other things, an intense cultural transformation is carried out, accompanied by training in Conscious Leadership for our executives.
Following this same line, we modified our benefits program from a base that is superior to that of the market, adapting them to the individual needs of our employees, both professionally and personally.
