The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) is involved in a controversy because a patient admitted to a hospital threw himself from a tenth floor. The case ended in tragedy but now there are many unanswered questions such as internal security measures.
Since its creation in 1943 it has become the basis of public health in our country. Although one of its main problems is that the growth in the number of beneficiaries has grown exponentially, while the number of workers has not had the same rhythm.
As a consequence of the above, the most frequent complaint is the time that must be waited to be attended. It happens both to be able to enter the office but also to schedule an operation.
As a result of the above, more and more people prefer offices attached to pharmacies. Although you must pay for the service, at least the attention is immediate and without setbacks.
What is a typical day like at IMSS?

Regarding what generated this action, there are conflicting versions. On the one hand, the patient’s relatives assure that everything was caused by the poor medical care received during his stay.
While the version used by the Social Security authorities is that hours before the event the man was agitated and aggressive. For the same reason, a thorough review is now being carried out to identify what really caused the incident. In any case, what generates more doubts is the internal security of the hospital.
