Last week the company EG7 announced that the Marvel MMOs that Daybreak Games was developing had been cancelled, as the company would focus its resources elsewhere. Due to this, new images of the game have been published that show us its visual style and character customization.
Images from the canceled Marvel MMO were posted on Artstation by Ramiro Galan, who worked as lead designer for Pixelkings, another company involved in the game’s development. Galan also shared one of the images on LinkedIn, where he shared more details.

In his LinkedIn post, Ramiro says that he did some screenplays for the canceled Marvel MMO, which had an emphasis on rich, vibrant colors with stylized hues, which pay homage to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. “I did all the design, 3D materials, lighting, and special effects,” says Galan.
Among the images he shared, we can see how the creation of characters could have worked, since apparently we would have had to choose one among 4 factions: X-Men, Avengers, SHIELD and Fantastic Four. It was also going to be possible to choose your wardrobe and superpowers; upon completion, the game would display a Marvel comic book cover featuring your character.
