The latest generation consoles and the most powerful graphics cards of the latest batch have strongly opted for 4K resolution. And although today PC gamers using 1080p are still the majority, more and more end up going up to 1440p and even Ultra HD.
So if we are of the latter, yes or yes we will need a monitor to match. And if we find one that is on sale, like this one from HP, all the better: we can take it home for 399 euros on Amazon, its all-time low price.
We refer to the HP U27, an excellent 4K monitor from this well-known manufacturer of gaming products (among many others) that offers what we ask of a device to play at that resolution. It is obviously 3840 x 2160p. AND features a 60Hz refresh rate and a response time of 5 milliseconds.
HP U27 – 27 ”Ultra HD 4K Wireless Monitor (3840 x 2160, 60Hz, 5ms, IPS, 16: 9, HDMI, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi Direct, Speakers, Low Blue Light, Anti-glare, Adjustable Height and Tilt) Silver
A priori, 60 Hz may seem little today, when 144 Hz is the most widespread standard in the gaming sector. But let’s not forget that the power required to move games to 4K and more than 60 frames per second is very large, and few teams are capable of doing it with solvency. So monitors like this are an excellent option for anyone who wants to make the leap to 2160p.
Finally, this HP monitor is flat, includes speakers and has a 27-inch diagonal. Which in combination with its resolution gives a very high density of pixels per inch, something that translates into great sharpness both for playing and for consumption of multimedia content.
