HSBC has also been recognized in sustainable finance with The Banker 2020 and Bonos Envioronmental Finance awards, both in 2020.
The institution has aligned its financial emissions – carbon emissions from its client portfolio – with the objective of the Paris Agreement, of achieving zero net carbon emissions by the year 2050, or sooner, reads the institution’s website.
