- Download the latest version of Steam on your PC and open the app.
- Then, log in with your account.
- Now, connect the controller to the PC. For this, you can use the USB connection or via Bluetooth.
- If you’re connecting via Bluetooth, then you’ll need to pair the PS4 controller with your PC.
- To do this, simply press the PS and Share buttons at the same time, until the light bar begins to flash.

Using the DS4Window software requires a few extra steps before you can start enjoying a PS4 controller on your computer:
- go to DS4Window official website and download the latest version.
- Extract it to your computer and open the DS4Windows file.
- In the new window, simply follow the instructions on the screen to begin the installation process.
- Once the installation is complete, you are ready to connect the controller to the PC, either via USB or Bluetooth, according to your preference.
- If you’re using a USB connection, as soon as you plug it in, your PC will detect the controller and it will be ready for you to play right away.
- For connections via Bluetooth, you must press and hold the PS and Share buttons until the light starts flashing.
- At last connect your PC to the controller and then click on the option Finalize to start using it.
