Every Android user has ever faced a situation in which they need to take several screenshots of a conversation or a web page to share it. Some Android manufacturers include in their personalization layers the option of ‘ Full Capture’ or ‘Long Capture’ , a very interesting function that allows a very extensive capture to show all the content of a web page or a WhatsApp conversation . Today we show you how to take long captures on all Android phones.
To take a long shot you just need a simple application
It is very likely that your mobile does not have the option to take a long shot . It is something that is being implemented in the latest versions of the different customization layers. Samsung was one of the first companies to implement something like this, so it has one of the best systems. The method that we bring you today is not so simple, but the result will be the same .
Just download the LongShot for Long app from Google Play. It is totally free and one of the best to be able to do this type of capture. Of course, first we recommend you take a look at your mobile, as this function may be in the settings or available only when the mobile detects a web page.
With the application installed you must open it and grant it the permissions it requests . They are necessary, you can make changes to the interface and view what is on your screen. If you want to carry out this type of capture, you have no other option but to accept these permissions. They are not incredibly abusive, but some users may be uncomfortable with their privacy.
With the permissions ready, you will be on the application’s home screen and you will see 3 options: Capture Screenshot, Capture Web Page and Select Images. You are only interested in the first one, although you must change one of the settings it includes. In the ‘ Capture Screenshot ‘ section you must select the ‘Auto Scroll’ option. This will allow the device to auto scroll and take the long shot without you having to do anything.
With this step done you must click on the blue camera icon . It is possible that your mobile will warn you that the application will be able to see what is shown on the screen, after giving this permission two floating buttons will appear on the screen: Start and Cancel . These can be moved around the screen to leave them where you want, although it is not the most important thing. You should only move them if they get in the way of entering an application.
The last step is to go to the application where you want to take a long shot and click on ‘Start’ . Instantly the screen will start to move on its own and capture different sections of the screen. By activating the ‘Auto Scroll’ option you will not have to do anything. Simply click on the area above when you want the capture to end .
When you do this the application will open and you can slightly edit the capture. If you click on ‘Save’ you can save the capture and view it in your gallery and then share it . It may seem like a tedious process, but after doing it once we can assure you that later it will be much faster. Of course, you must enter the application every time you want to take a long screenshot.
These screenshots are perfect for displaying all the content of a WhatsApp conversation , your social media feed or an entire web page. It will only take a few seconds and we can assure you that the result will be perfect.
