What is a conjunction?
In astronomy, a conjunction is the approach of two or more celestial objects in their apparent path across the sky. In general, conjunctions take place between the Moon and the planets (Venus, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter or Saturn).
The planets do not come close to the Moon in space. Space objects only appear to be close to each other in the sky, according to the specialized site starwalk.
