It has been news these days as Google Photos allows you to remove objects in photographs. To the chagrin of many, it is an option for now exclusive to the Pixels. Exclusive on Google Photos, because other brands like Samsung already offer something similar in their application “Gallery”.
Without having to resort to third-party alternatives such as Retouch, Samsung offers a section in the Gallery application that allows you to remove elements from an image. A function that we are now going to explain how to activate, because by default it appears quite hidden and you have to enable it first.
How to delete items from a photo
The first step is to enable the option and for that we are going to go to the “Gallery” application and select the image from which we want to delete the object. On the bottom click on the pencil icon to start editing but still, the photo deletion does not appear.
So we have to go to the upper right area, click on the menu with the three dots. We will see different options and click on “Labs” then, in the new window, activate the “Deleting objects”.
With the “Deletion of objects” already activated, now we must click on the edit button and move the toolbar to the end. Now there appears the icon of the “Draft”. Click on it and we select an image the object or person that we want to delete. Click on delete and it should disappear, covering its space according to the outline of the image.
