A fan has discovered a way to farm 2.5 million runes per hour in the Elden Ring. FromSoftware’s open world title has been released to great acclaim, with fans constantly sharing new ways to get runes more easily.
Of the many changes FromSoftware has introduced to its new title, one of the most notable is the addition of a world map. However, unlike many other modern open world titles, the map contains relatively little information about the setting, in an effort to encourage the player to explore the Midlands. As a result, Elden Ring has garnered a lot of community involvement, as players share their various discoveries and compare notes on certain questlines, items, and locations. The latter is especially important when farming the Elden Ring currency, the runes.
Now, YouTuber Ashen One discovered a place where a determined gamer could farm 2.5 million runes per hour. Although this place can be accessed at the beginning of Elden Ring, just after completing Stormveil Castle, the path to get there requires several steps involving NPC quests, PvP, and certain items that teleport the player to areas that arrive later in the game. In the video of less than 4 minutes, Ashen One walks through the entire process and even gives tips on how to increase the already lucrative rune total.
While there are still a lot of things about Elden Ring that the majority of the community hasn’t reached a consensus on, one thing that most agree on is that the game is huge. Not only is the open world vast, but it’s packed with so much to do that two weeks isn’t enough time for most players to explore it all. Elden Ring has been less than two weeks since its release and there are likely to be many secrets yet to be discovered in the Midlands. Therefore, it will likely be some time before the community reaches a consensus on much more subjective questions, such as the best location to farm runes.
