One of the uses of editing programs is to create different creative designs in them, such as making a mandala in CorelDraw and Corel PhotoPaint.
This Buddhist diagram has gained some popularity for its meaning, as well as its pleasing appearance and striking shape patterns.
Whether to add them to a blog or graphic design, creating a mandala is possible thanks to the help of these two excellent editing programs.
Create and configure a vector file
To start creating a mandala in CorelDraw and PhotoPaint, the first thing is to have a vector file.
This must be done by opening the first mentioned program, in which we will click the ” New ” button, or press the combination ” Ctrl + N “.
A pop-up window will be displayed with the settings for the new document. It is important to make a square file, that is, proportional height and width.
Also, choose a “ CMYK ” color setting, the standard resolution of 100 dpi, and an enhanced preview mode. Then press ” Accept “.
Show grid within document
As an additional piece of information in the creation of the vector document, the grid option will have to be activated to have a guide when working on the mandala.
For this, you have to locate a button, which is represented by several squares and a small eye. It can be found under the tab called ” Windows .”
Then it must be configured so that it is with 2cm for each frame. This is accomplished in the ” Tools ” section in the ” Documents” segment.
When you find this option, click on the ” + ” button and choose ” Grid ” where you can make the relevant changes regarding this preference.
Add horizontal and vertical guidelines
This element is important to create the center of the Mandala in CorelDraw and PhotoPaint, for this, you must select the ” Show rulers ” button.
Doing so moves both the top and bottom rulers toward the center of the grid, causing them to intersect and thus forming a midpoint.
Generate Mandala circles in CorelDraw and PhotoPaint
To get started, you must first create a layer called ” Circles ” in the layer manager, so that everyone is in that section.
Thus, the “ Ellipse ” tool is selected and then positioned in the center of the grid, and left-click, “ Control ” and “ Shift ” are pressed.
In this way, it expands to the desired size of the main circle, which will be the largest. In the same way with the other forms. Six concentric circles can be created.
Color the circles
To color the circles within the vector box, simply select each of them with the ” Selection ” tool on the left bar.
At the same time, using the color palette in the lower section, each of these is filled with the color that the user wishes.
Add flowers or objects inside the circles
First of all, in order not to accidentally move the ellipses, the tabs where they are located are locked from the layer manager.
To create them, you only need to use the “ Freehand ” tool on the left bar, in which the “ Pen ” alternative will be selected.
This will allow you to draw the shape that the user prefers, guided by the grid. In addition, you can make adjustments with the “ Shapes ” tool.
Finally, you just have to copy the shapes and place them in the places you prefer in the circles. It can also be rotated if necessary.
This from ” Transformations ” in which you can rotate and resize. It can be added from the ” Windows ” tab under ” Dockers “.
This would be the endpoint where the desired shapes are fitted in the correct places, using the indicated tools. As a result, you will have a nice mandala in CorelDraw and PhotoPaint.
Corel Draw gives you the opportunity to create and save custom patterns or custom templates that will be used for future work so don’t hesitate to look for this tool and have fun using it.
