Pokémon Legends: Arceus is one of the video games that is on everyone’s lips, and that is because the popular Nintendo Switch title has everything to excite Pokémon trainers, including the emblematic creature of the franchise, Pikachu.
Something that we find quite curious is that the most recognizable ‘mon of all is one of more than 200 that players can discover in the Sinnoh origins title. And just like his first-generation Eevee companion, he can be tricky to hunt down. If he’s looking to add Electric-type to his team in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, he’ll need to head to a specific location on the map.
Pikachu’s location in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Hunting the yellow Pokémon can be tricky as it has a low spawn rate compared to others that will appear in the overworld. Follow the steps below to find Pikachu in Legends Arceus:
- After getting the flute and being able to ride Wyrdeer in the Obsidian Fieldlands, head south from Heights Camp until you reach Nature’s Pantry. This is where Pikachu appears.
- Pikachu can be found wandering around here. Be careful though: he may be trying to track one down for a while, as it’s a rare spawn.
- If it doesn’t show up at first, fast travel back to the camp from the map and talk to the Galaxy Member to change the time to morning or noon and then head back to Nature’s Pantry.
- Repeat this method until it appears.
- You can also evolve it from Pichu if you have one. You need to have high friendship.
- It also spawns in the Golden Lowlands in the Crimson Mirelands.
How to Catch Pikachu in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Once the ‘mon’ appears, don’t run towards it and throw a Poke Ball as it will run away if it sees you. Instead, crouch down and slowly move towards him. Although you can catch it from any angle, your throw will be super effective and have a higher catch rate if you throw it from behind, so for the best odds, move around the back.
You can get the Pokémon with a normal Poke Ball, but we recommend using a Great Ball or better to have less chance of it bursting and escaping.
