How can I apply the halftone effect to text using Corel Photo-Paint
So that we can optimally use the different functions or tools of the Corel Photo-Paint application. And we can apply a personalized effect to the texts or backgrounds, then we are going to explain it to you and for this, we will go to the application and open a worksheet. In it, first of all, we are going to create a background with the color of our preference.
Now on this background, we are going to write the text, to which we will then add the halftone effect. To write the text, we are going to go to the left side menu and we are going to choose the text tool. Then we make a clip in the background and we begin to write the text and the options will be shown at the top, to give it the desired format.
So here we can choose the font, style, size, color, etc. after having made the design of our text. Now we are going to select the rectangle creation tool and we will change the fill color to one that is solid and the outline will be zero. We will put this rectangle in the lower part of our background.
Applying the halftone effect to text
The next step will be to go to the upper main menu and choose the Effect tab, then we are going to click on the Blur option and then Gaussian Blur. We will try to give it a medium blur, for the perfect halftone effect and we click OK. Now, we go back to the effect tab and then click on the color transformation option.
And finally, we click on the Midtones option, this action will generate a box and in it we are going to place in the option Maximum radius of points in 10. And then we click OK, now we are going to go to the layer that we have created, it is on the right side. And we are going to change the color, for that, we select it and click on it.
And then we are going to select the option Create mask from object, now we are going to go to the side menu and select the smart fill tool. And finally, we are going to select a color, click on Apply and remove the mask. Now we are going to place this box over the text so that one half is a solid color and the other halftone.
Now we position ourselves on the text layer, then we make the right clip and choose the option Create mask from object. Then we position ourselves on the layer that we have the halftone effect, right-click and select the Crop by mask option.
And then we remove the mask, in this way we conclude the tutorial and you can realize how simple and easy it is to apply the halftone effect to the text using Corel Photo Paint.
