His name is Gersy Arámbulo and he works as a right winger at the Las Águilas de Santa Ana club, in the Copa Perú, a tournament for the promotion of that country.
However, as this is an amateur category, the very little he earns playing football is not enough to live on.
That’s why Gersy takes advantage of every minute he has in training. and even in matches to open the Rappi application and make deliveries if any order is activated nearby.
That’s right, since he can’t dedicate himself 100 percent to football, delivery work is an option that he has found to add income.
Rappi delivery man at half time of his other job: football
Rappi’s player-delivery went viral this week after journalist Pedro Zevallos Guillén, from El Amague, told the story on social networks during last weekend’s game (@pedrichenko).
This time, as on so many other occasions, the player took advantage of the half time of the match he was playing to make a delivery on a motorcycle.
When the referee marked the center of the field at the end of the first 45 minutes, Arámbulo took his Rappi backpack, his cell phone where he has the Rappi app and went to make a delivery.
Zevallos Guillén told on the networks: “This case must be, for now, unique in the world. This is Gersy Arámbulo, right winger of the 2003 category. He plays the Peru Cup at Las Águilas de Santa Ana in the Los Olivos district and took advantage of the half-time of his club’s game to get on his motorcycle and go deliver an order”.

“Never lower your arms”, the club’s message to Gersy
The player took 17 minutes to return, arriving in time for the start of the second period.
The club knows this, and motivates him to keep making an effort. “Good game and fast down the right wing. Never give up, keep working to achieve your dreams. Successes Gersy ”, published Las Águilas de Santa Ana on the networks.
The case of the Rappi delivery man is not the only one in this Peruvian soccer category, the vast majority of players have other jobs.
However, as the journalist says, he must be the only one who leaves the game at halftime to continue working.
The Peru Cup is the most important amateur football tournament in that country. It began to be played in 1967.
The prize is great. Whoever wins it gets promotion to the First Division and the second goes on to integrate the second division.
