Stepan, the famous kitten of Instagram and TikTok has already left Ukraine
Stepan’s life in the Ukrainian territory took a sudden turn when he and his owner Anna had to face the Russian invasion, the February 24 of this year. Almost a month after that event, the last photo she had shared on his account was of him posing for his Instagram, along with a pizza and a remote control. However, after two weeks of absence, his fans began to worry about his condition. Nevertheless, an update on their social networks has confirmed that the kitten and its owner are safeand that Stepan already left together with Anna from Ukraine.
“On February 24, quite early, we were sleeping at home. At 5 in the morning there was an explosion, and I couldn’t even figure out what it was. After a while, after half an hour, there were more explosions, the windows shook. I jumped and understood that something terrible was happening! The attack and shelling of Kharkiv (especially in the north of Saltovka, where we live). We realized that the war had come to our house“.
This was the post they shared on their Instagram account:
Anna and Stepan also narrated what happened on their instagram account and reported that fortunately during the first days their house was not affected by the shells, however, on the eighth day, they had no choice but to leave, “two shells fell on our patio, in front of the house,” he said, “we spent two nights in the basement and without electricity for a week.”
However, Anna and Stepan managed to get out of their hometown via a 20-hour stretch by train from Kharkiv to Lviv, then to the Polish border. However, after about 9 hours, they managed to leave the country.
“When we arrived in Poland, the World Association of Influencers and Bloggers of Monaco offered us their help. They helped us get to France […] We are fine now. We care a lot about our relatives in Ukraine and will do our best to help our country,” Stepan’s owner wrote in her post.
The post already has more than 400 thousand “likes” and with many comments as a show of their support, including messages such as “I was very worried”, “stay safe” or “Sending love to all of Stepan’s family”.
Undoubtedly, fortunately, the help of the French association was of vital importance for Stepan’s departure from the Ukrainian country; however, there are still many civilians to be saved, including Anna’s family, as the conflict between Ukraine and Russia seems far from over.
