In that way the Euskaltel, R, Telecable and Virgin telco brands they became part of the company led by Meinrad Spenger.
This, added to the good fiber portability data in recent months, has led the MásMóvil Group to exceed the total accumulated figure of 3 million fixed broadband customers. Vodafone in the spotlight
The MásMóvil Group announced today that it has already exceeded the total accumulated figure of 3 million fixed broadband customers, getting closer and closer to Vodafone, which currently has 3.1 million broadband lines. In this sense, it should be remembered that the MásMóvil Group currently has network coverage that covers more than 26.4 million marketable homes.
The company also boasts of having surpassed that barrier in just over five years, since closed 2016 with 122,000 customers, added 382,000 in 2017, 487,000 in 2018 and added 500,000 additional clients in both 2019 and 2020, despite the situation derived from the pandemic.
During the first two quarters of 2021, the Group has continued its organic growth rhythm, adding more than 100,000 new additions per quarter, which represents a capture of more than 100,000 broadband customers during 16 quarters in a row. And of course, the acquisition of the Euskaltel Group has also contributed to this, as stated by Meinrad Spenger himself, CEO of the MásMóvil Group:
“The Group continues to maintain a solid rhythm of organic growth during the year and thanks also to the contribution of the Euskaltel Group we are very happy to have exceeded 3M of broadband clients in such a short time”.
In a statement, the MásMóvil Group explained that one of the key factors in achieving this commercial milestone has been the good commercial behavior of its brands Yoigo, MASMOVIL, Pepephone, Llamaya, Euskaltel, R, Telecable, Virgin telco and Guuk.
It should also be noted that, of the 3 million lines, 97% are ultra-fast broadband and more than 1.2 million clients have contracted other services such as television -through Agile TV-, financing, insurance, 100% green energy, connected home, telemedicine and cybersecurity services.
